in June 2010, I will do my high school. After that I want to do my community service in an international voluntary service ("weltwärts") in Costa Rica.

It is a major concern to help disadvantaged people and responsible to the new program "weltwärts the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to participate. So that I can contribute to sustainable development.

this form of community service is organized by "Association AFS Intercultural Programs", which I already had 2 years ago participated in an exchange year in the U.S.. AFS is one of the largest and oldest non-profit youth exchange organizations worldwide and support of youth welfare.

committed since my exchange year I volunteer at AFS. During this time, my interest in intercultural encounters and development policy Work has grown ever stronger. Therefore, the decision for me to apply for a development volunteer was logical for me and obvious. Weltwärts services "to promote the commitment to a sustainable world and see themselves as service learning, intercultural exchange of young people in enabling developing countries."

Since the last entry about my activities here at the Albergue a lot has changed. Probably the biggest difference is that I am with the kids getting better and I understand (even chaotic) really fond of have. It's amazing that when I'm in a bad mood or just not good on it, am I the laughter of the kids cheers each time again.

I will be here by the way almost always addressed as Bendiez (left). Its name comes from the fact that he can transform into 10 different characters.

I started some time ago from balloons and sand make juggling balls . Yesterday were the older kids (12-16) in the morning at home because they had no school. The time would be able to use perfect for any sports or other activities. I have been a more than 2 weeks in my project and I believe that I have already settled in well. The names of the 48 children I know, of course, not all, of the estimated 10 nuns, perhaps half. My boss here is Sor Isabel and Sor Luz assistant boss. Elias and I live in a private room with private bathroom in the 1 Floor. The toilet is blocked for 3 days. No idea why ... To begin with, Elias and I feel that we are superfluous here. We had no schedule, and have spent much time in our room because we did not know what to do. Living with nuns is the way much better than expected. They're always super friendly and nice, and many also really funny. Moreover, they are incredibly affectionate with the children.
